Level
Beginner – Intermediate – Advanced
Beginner courses are aimed at either non-planners (for example councillors) or those new to planning in Victoria. This might be new graduates, or those coming from interstate or overseas.
Intermediate courses are generally aimed at planners in their early years of professional practice (approximately the first five years).
Advanced courses are designed to provide valuable content for those well established in their careers (five years and beyond).
Note these are just guides, and many of our courses are designed to be taught as a group experience with entire teams of varying levels of experience.
Audience
Council planners – Private Sector – Councillors
We specialise in courses for local government planners, and this is the default audience for many of our courses. However we always welcome the opportunity to speak to other groups, either adapting existing material or or preparing bespoke courses. We also have experience in providing professional development for councillors.

Suggested Delivery
Note we are highly flexible about delivery mode. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss options.
Type
Training sessions are our typical training courses focussed on skills and professional development. Reflective sessions are more reflective, focussing on industry trends and self-reflection. These typically are 90 minutes or less and include elements of lecture and group discussion. They are ideal as team-building sessions, getting your staff to break away from the day-to-day and consider the big picture.
