Cazz Redding

A strategic planner with 25 years’ experience, Cazz was a sessional member of Planning Panels Victoria for 15 years, a lecturer at RMIT in strategic planning, statutory planning and property development for 20 years, and was made a Fellow of the Planning Institute of Australia in 2018.

She is a leader in her field, having contributed to the drafting of the Victoria Planning Provisions and numerous council planning schemes. She enjoys working on complex planning projects, and finding simple, practical solutions to planning challenges. Cazz moves comfortably between big-picture visioning work and the application of detailed solutions.

Cazz devotes a significant amount of her time delivering training to planners and elected representatives to build capacity across the industry. She has developed a wide range of training modules that cover all elements of drafting planning schemes, strategic planning practice and planning for beginners.

Cazz is passionate about building both skill levels and confidence in planners at all stages of their career and has an open, honest and generous delivery style that keeps participants engaged and creates a safe environment to ask questions and explore ideas.

Cazz actively mentors junior planners through the Planning Institute of Australia and the State Government and provides advice to not-for-profit organisations as part of her pro-bono activity.
